How Community Cars came to Be:
Community Cars is a used car lot located in the historic downtown Kingsland, GA area right off HWY 40 and U.S. 17. Community Cars has been in operation since the early 2000s. Community Cars first started when the first owner Jerry Underwood opened up the business. Jerry later on in the early 2000s was joined by his older brother Lamar Underwood. Lamar Underwood was the owner of the car lot “Lamar’s Cars” located in Yulee FL and decided to close down his business and move up to work with his brother Jerry. Jerry and Lamar operated Community Cars with a strong belief of providing premier customer service and putting their customers in quality used vehicles that could last them a long time.
